This is a relatively new trail in the West Belconnen area. The trail takes you from the road down to the Molonglo River, and it's one of the easiest locations to actually get to the river.
The trail starts off pretty gently but then becomes steep nearer the river. There are plenty of steps at this stage, constructed to make it easier to both descend and ascend.
It takes about 15 minutes to reach the river. The trail takes you to a very picturesque swimming hole with a few small beaches around it. There doesn't seem to be any way to get to the other side apart from swimming, however there is a rope swing on the other side. There are a few flat-ish areas around the river to sit.
There are no toilets here.
The trail starts on Stockdill Drive at Belconnen, just in front of the entrance to the water treatment plant.
There is only road parking available.
