This place falls into both the categories of Nature and Water. Surprisingly, there are many things to photograph.
There is a reserve that straddles Ginninderra Creek. As of Nov 2023, there isn't much water in the creek, so you have to be optimistic to take photographs of the water. However, the reserve itself is quite interesting, and there are trails on both sides of the creek. This area of the Creek are bordered by the dam at Lake Ginninderra, and a bridge that the end of Evatt. The reserve continues on the other side, but I've not explored that yet.
The trails cross multiple environments, from traditional Canberra grassland to ivy-covered trees and clearings. There are several places where you can cross from one side to the other, although there will be less when the creek has more water. There are stepping-stones across, but these are under water when there's been any substantial rain.
The Croke Place Wetlands are a group of man-made ponds designed to provide a habitat for birdlife.
There are no public toilets here. There are several kids' playgrounds here.
There is a free carpark off Croke Place, Evatt.
