"Odd" is probably the best description for this place. Just the place for an Addams Family picnic.
At the moment there doesn't seem to be anything alive at this playground area. Hopefully this will change over time.
But it does provide a venue for some interesting photos. There are also views across to the new housing developments in Denman Prospect.
There are no toilets here.
Best reached by walking across Butters Bridge. It is an easy walk with good dirt roads.
About 100m on the other side.
Currently the only parking is back in the small carpark off John Gorton Ave that is also used for Butters Bridge.
You can be amazed by the dead trees planted in the ground
You can sit and ponder the existence of this rock
You can marvel at the dead wood artfully positioned
Falling off this will toughen the kids up
You can admire the thousands of artistically-planted rocks.
A waterhole with growing things around it, but dead trees strategically placed in the middle.
Dead trees used as monkey-bars for the kids to play on. Just watch out for the rocks underneath.
Glorious views across the river to the new housing developments
