This is the original lookout over Canberra and it is positioned in a key location that gives views across the whole of Central and Southern Canberra City.
I remember coming here in the 1960's to see the night lights of Canberra.
Once upon a time there was a functioning restaurant and kiosk here, but the building is now closed as it probably didn't survive the COVID-19 shutdowns.
From here you can see Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra city, new Parliament House, the War Memorial, Woden Town Centre, and in the distance Queanbeyan and the airport.
In Autumn, you will be able to see dramatically the trees taking on their Autumn colours.
There is plenty of free parking, and there are public toilets near teh Kiosk building.

Your GPS might only take you to the small lookout area. Â Make sure you follow the road until you get to the Kiosk building.
