Many are on the banks of rivers and lakes. Most have public carparks adjoining or nearby.
A large collection of native Australian flora that is easy to walk around a photograph. Flowers and other photographic subjects change with the seasons.
This is a garden behind the National Gallery adjacent to Lake Burley Griffin. There are steps leading down to it from the NG entrance courtyard. There are several interesting sculptures to the seen.
Historical formal gardens that adjoin Old Parliament House. Famous for their formal rose gardens. Wide and easily accessible paths around the gardens provide good access to all the flowers and shrubs.

This is parkland area on the southside of Lake Burley Griffin opposite the National Museum of Australia. It appears to have the Beijing Gardens and Nara Peace Park as sub-gardens within it on its left hand side. There is a large open park area and also a formal garden area with flowers and vine-covered pergola.
A garden inspired by Qing Dynasty China. Contains traditional Chinese structures and sculptures. This garden is on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin.
A Japanese-themed garden with multiple locations for holding formal events such as weddings.
In the Weston Creek area, this large park is mainly for recreation but has many good views of Lake Burley Griffin. Good for family outings and photos of the same.
