This is a centre for astronomy in Canberra. It was badly damaged by bushfires, however there are still some working telescopes and observation domes that were damaged. There is a new facility there with new tech, but unfortunately it isn't open to the public.
There are quite a few intact observation domes scattered around the top of the mountain. It takes about an hour to walk around the mountain top and photograph the views and the facilities.
According to their website, the Visitors' Centre and the cafe are currently closed. As a result there are no toilets available here.
The best way to get there is via Mt Stromlo Road, off Cotter Road.
Getting to the top is a 10-15 minute drive from the new suburb of Wright.

Domes for public use
Domes for educational use. Students in years 9-12 can use these for free for their own projects.
Older dome being replaced. I think the old one has better style. The new one looks more like a metal garage.
The older ones have a certain something about them.

This is the same view from 2023. You can see the urban encroachment.
