This is a bell tower donated to Australia by the people of the UK for our Bicentanary. It is located on a small island connected by a broad walkway and this area is popular for family picnics. It adjoins the major path around Lake Burley Griffin so it is readily accessible.
This is a large plantation of rare and endangered trees that is located near Lake Burley Griffin. It has spectacular views over Canberra. Co-located with the main Arboretum building is the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection.

This is the most visible landmark in Canberra and is atop the Black Mountain reserve. It's a steep drive up, but you get a 360 degree panorama of Canberra from here. You have to pay to go up the Tower to the viewing platform. There is both an indoor and outdoor viewing area.
The art gallery is free for general entry, but you usually have to pay if you want to see some particular visiting exhibition. There are many photo opportunities on the outside of the gallery including their Sculpture Garden.
Although the building is somewhat uninspiring from a photographer's perspective, the exhibitions are usually worth a visit, and you are free to photograph the portraits that usually provide a snapshot of Australian history and characters.
